I learned much from Sally while I was a communications / journalism student at St. John Fisher College. I took one of her evening courses in 1979 or 1980, and always looked forward to her classes. She's someone I'll never forget, and I imagine many of my fellow students felt the same way.

I was so saddened the day I heard of your passing. Whether you knew it or not you were very important to the career change I made later in my life. You were the first person that answered my "Craigslist" ad for a gardener. You gave me the encouragement, appreciation and strength to go on my own in the garden design business. Each year when I did your garden you always found the time to let me know much you enjoyed sitting in your yard and gazing at all the beautiful flowers that I had put in. You told me you enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty of your gardens. Sally ,thank you for the encourage and the belief you had in me. I will forever be grateful to you. I will miss you every day

As a nanny to Sally and Paul's three little girls, I was welcomed into their warm, loving, down-to-earth home life for four years. Sally's heart and mind were always open, and she became so much more than an "employer": more like a friend/sister/aunt, always available to listen and advise. My strongest prayers and thoughts of peace and strength go to Paul, Pam, Betsy, and Karen. Love, Sandy
