It hurts my heart to learn of Ricks passing. Mr. Schonblom was a man's man. Even with age he was strong as an OX and I have yet to receive a stronger grip / handshake from anyone else.
He loved telling his backyard football days and tackling his friends in dog crap :) Rick took passion in his work and always seemed to know a professor or colleague in public after retirement.
He was a helluva euchre partner and a huge Bills and Sabres fan. He enjoyed a good bourbon, good cigars, good food, but most importantly good company.
Always full of fishing stories and life stories in general. Xmas ornament origins might be my favorite.
Above all he was a loving father and husband. (Furballs included)
I am so thankful to have met this man and his family for the time that I did. His spirit and energy is something that will always live in those that he knew.
Thank you Rick.

To the family of Rick Schonblom- Stacey B. Cherwin&Dan Cherwin send love and condolences.
Rick was truly an upbeat, pleasant, positive person. I was lucky enough to have some phone conversations with him,
and after speaking with Rick, I felt more upbeat. To give that feeling, to another human being is not always common.
He will be remembered, missed, and thought of. To his sister, Carol, Anna and family-God Bless You-and God Bless
Rick. He was a great human being. So glad we met him, and spent time with him.

While growing up in the same close knit neighborhood, Rick was the funny guy across the street. We all have fond memories of us kids swimming, Christmas gatherings, snowball wars. My thoughts are with you, Marsha. Sorry to his family for his loss.

Rick was my neighbor when we were growing up. What I remember the most about him, was his wonderful smile and how kind he was.

My sister and I ,Norita grew up 2 houses down from The Scholmblom family. Such a wonderful family.I remember one time, I was swimming in their , or the neighbors pool. Rick was swimming like a wild fish in that pool. Lord, please Bless and grant peace to all of Ricks family members and friends. In Jesus Name. Amen.
