Johnny lived next door to us in Tonawanda when I was young. He was very kind to me, a boy whose father had died. I remember once he took me to a construction site and let me "operate" all the heavy equipment. I would love to know how to reach his son Bruce or daughter Debbie.

Though we met John only a few times, we recall a smile on his face and a cap on his head. A delightful man. May you rest in peace with your beloved Mary. Kevin and Debby - our prayers continue for you both.

Uncle John,
When I think of you I think of summer; picnics in the backyard at Moscow, you and Mary, Uncle Walter and my Mom talking about food, sports, family history, neighbors, and just stuff. Early on Gramma and Grampa were there too, sometimes the Ferkes, sometimes Uncle Jimmie and his family, sometimes Bruce and Debby. Afterward, we'd all go to the Moscow Fireman's Picnic, where you'd slip us kids change to play games and ride. I also think of your fabulous cooking, and how you always begged my mom for her meatball recipe--she never did give it to you. Now, perhaps, in the Afterlife you may be able to pry it out of her.
Be at peace, spirit of Uncle John--perhaps your family is around you in the Other World, just as your Earthly family gathers here to mourn you and to remember you. Thank you for being my Uncle.
Blessed be, Deb, Bruce, Mary Ellen, and those who loved Uncle John. He lives in your genes or in your memories, in your stories, laughter and tears. Stay strong during this hard time; Unca John would have wanted it. Live Long and Prosper, Kath D'A
