Obituary of Josephine D. Stowell

Josephine Henry Stowell of Fairport died April 28, 2017 at age 93. Predeceased by her husbands, Charles Henry and Ralph Stowell and sister Roberta Doerflinger. Josephine is survived by her children, Joanne Kahane, Liz (Doug) Jarrett, Marianne (Roland) Lincourt, Susan Henry (Joseph Pekarsky), Gert (Glenn) Masline, Charles (Rosalia) Henry, Joseph (Sharon) Henry and Katy (Shawn) Garrigan; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Eleanor LoCurto, Joan Keefe and Robert Doerflinger; many nieces and nephews. Josephine was born in Lynbrook NY in 1924. She graduated from Adelphi College with her RN degree. She was a longtime member of the Lions Club in Beacon, NY and Penfield, NY. She was a member of the Dutchess County Home Bureau and the Penfield Home Bureau. She was an avid volunteer. Friends are welcome to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Josephine's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00am at Holy Spirit Church, 1355 Hatch Road at Plank Road. Interment will be private in Hopewell Junction NY.
